Prince George's teen charged as adult in shooting death

A 17-year-old Maryland girl has been charged with murder in connection with the shooting of an acquaintance. Prince George's County police said Friday that Charde Monet Walls has been charged as an adult in the death of 29-year-old Donta Jermaine Simmons. Police said Simmons walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound Thursday and died shortly afterward. Walls was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder and use of a handgun in commission of a felony. Police said Simmons and Walls knew each other and that the shooting followed a dispute.
