34-year-old man wounded in East Baltimore shooting

A 34-year-old man was shot Tuesday night in East Baltimore, according to police. An officer who responded at 10:47 p.m. after a report of a shooting in the 1700 block of Ashland Ave. in the Gay Street neighborhood found a victim with a gunshot wound, police said. The man was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was in good condition and was to undergo surgery, police said.
