A 20-year-old Baltimore man pleaded guilty Thursday to armed robbery and a separate witness intimidation charge for threatening an officer in connection with the 2008 killing of former City Councilman Kenneth N. Harris. According to charging documents, Christopher Kemp approached the officer at the Northwood Shopping Center last year and said he would "deal" with him and his family if Kemp found out the officer provided information on his cousin, Gary Collins, who is charged along with two others in the killing. Kemp also stated that the officer didn't want to "mess with the BGF" - likely a reference to the Black Guerrilla Family gang - and said, "Our guns are bigger than your guns," according to police. Kemp received a 15-year sentence on the robbery conviction, with all but five years suspended, according to the Baltimore state's attorney's office. He will serve one year for witness intimidation; the time is to run consecutively.
