Worker at Towson gas station shot in apparent robbery try

A Towson gas station employee was shot several times Monday morning during an apparent robbery attempt, according to Baltimore County police. The victim, William Raymond Porter, 49, was shot about 7:25 a.m. at a Hess station in the 1600 block of E. Joppa Road. Police were seeking a black male, about 25 years old and 6 feet tall, who was wearing a black hooded sweat shirt. Porter was being treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, according to police.
