Baltimore Sun

A woman believed to be in her 40s died Tuesday afternoon after she was struck by a U-Haul truck in East Baltimore, fire officials said. About 1:30 p.m., paramedics responded to East 24th Street and Greenmount Avenue, where they found an unconscious woman lying in the street suffering from injuries to the chest, said Chief Kevin Cartwright, a department spokesman. She was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, with her condition deteriorating significantly on the way, Cartwright said.
