Footprints in snow lead police to burglary suspect

Baltimore Sun

Footprints in the snow led police officers to a man they believe had just broken into his neighbor's Glen Burnie home Wednesday morning, Anne Arundel County police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said. A 39-year-old woman heard glass break about 2:30 a.m. at her home in the 200 block of Queen Anne Road and went to investigate, he said. When she encountered a man, he ran out, Mulcahy said. Responding officers followed tracks in the snow to another house in the block, where they arrested a man who had wet clothes. Charged with fourth-degree burglary and destruction of property under $1,000 was Jose Garcia, 19, of the 200 block of Queen Anne Road.
