Police say man stabbed at Christmas gathering

Baltimore Sun

Police say a Pennsylvania man who was a guest at a house in Montgomery County was allegedly stabbed and critically wounded there early Christmas Day. Police say Edgar Peralta, 33, of Reading, Pa., was stabbed several times at a Germantown house after an argument broke out between a resident of the house and a guest. Montgomery County police say Peralta was taken to a trauma center. The alleged assailant fled. Police say they are searching for Emerson Arnoldo Chavez Estrada in connection with the stabbing. It was the second reported incident of serious violence in the greater Washington area on Christmas morning since police reported a shooting death at a northwest Washington rowhouse.
