Forecast: Partly sunny, high 81

The National Weather Service is calling for Thursday to be partly sunny in the Baltimore area, with a high near 81 degrees and winds becoming westerly between 8 and 11 miles per hour. There is a 40 percent chance of precipitation. Scattered showers and thunderstorms would most likely come after 2 p.m.

A coastal flood advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Friday for counties along the tidal Potomac River and the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay.

Thursday night is expected to be partly cloudy, with a low around 61 and west winds about 6 miles per hour.

Friday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 74 and west winds of 7 to 15 miles per hour.

Friday night is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a low around 52 and east winds of 9 to 11 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
