Forecast: Mostly sunny, high 85

The National Weather Service was calling for Monday to be mostly sunny in the Baltimore area, with a high near 85 degrees and winds becoming westerly about 6 miles per hour. There is a 30 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m.

A coastal flood advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. The weather service notes that minor coastal flooding is possible Monday morning along the tidal Potomac River and the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay.

Monday night was expected to be mostly cloudy, with a low around 69 degrees and light southwest winds. There is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Tuesday was expected to be sunny, with a high near 88 and winds becoming southerly of 5 to 8 miles per hour.

Tuesday night was expected to be mostly clear, with a low around 68 and south winds of 3 to 6 miles per hour.
