Repairs have been completed to a 16-inch water main break at Gay and Saratoga streets that ruptured on Feb. 3, but Department of Public Works officials said that repairs on a damaged 24-inch storm drain at the same location will begin this weekend.

DPW said repairs to the 16-inch main were completed on Wednesday. Officials said that repairs to the storm drain will close Gay Street between Lexington and Saratoga streets throughout the weekend, beginning at 7 p.m. Friday.

Two lanes will be opened on the street before rush hour on Feb. 16, officials said.

A structure near Lexington and Gay streets will be the lone building to have its service interrupted, DPW said. Repairs should be completed by next week, officials said.
