A tractor trailer hauling milk overturned Wednesday morning, closing eastbound traffic lanes of Interstate 70 in Carroll County to shut down, state highway officials and state police said.
The two-vehicle crash was reported shortly after 6 a.m. west of Exit 68, for MD 27/Ridge Road to Mount Airy.
Three eastbound lanes are closed, and two of three westbound lanes were also closed. Traffic continued to be disrupted as of 8 a.m., when state police said fire hazmat crews remained to clear the scene.
State police did not provide information on injuries Wednesday morning.
