The Baltimore City Department of Transportation said that a temporary lane closure along westbound Orleans Street at the Central Avenue intersection will begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday.
The closure due to construction will remain in effect for about four weeks, DOT said. The closure is expected to cause significant delays and motorists are advised to take alternate routes if possible, DOT said.
DOT also said that Roland Avenue is closed at 40th Street on Thursday morning due to BGE emergency roadwork. DOT encouraged motorists to seek alternate routes.
The Maryland Transit Administration said that the MARC Camden Line will operate at full service on Thursday but minor delays are possible between Greenbelt and College Park.
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority said crews on Thursday morning will be making repairs to Green Line tracks amid a pedestrian bridge collapse on Wednesday. Greenbelt Station will be closed on Thursday morning, officials said.
