Major roadwork on Interstate 95 that began Sunday is set to begin affecting commutes and will continue to do so for months.
The roadwork, which is to replace worn decking and joints on the 4.4-mile stretch of highway and the ramps, will affect traffic between Caton Avenue and the Fort McHenry Tunnel. Officials warned of lane closures that will force drivers to make quick decisions and likely leave them stuck in traffic.
A three-vehicle crash has closed two of the four southbound travel lanes into the Fort McHenry Tunnel, state transportation officials said.
A disabled vehicle is blocking the far right lane and shoulder on Interstate 83 at Exit 17 for Padonia Road.
All transit was reported to be running on time.
