A utility problem on MD 176 East in Severn at Hawkins Drive has closed the eastbound right traffic lane and eastbound shoulder at 8:52 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The center turn lanes are bi-directional due to the incident, DOT said.
Emergency roadwork on MD 22 in Aberdeen from Beards Hill Road to Graceford Drive has closed the southbound right traffic lane and southbound right shoulder at 5:40 a.m., DOT said.
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation said on Tuesday morning that a BGE power outage has affected traffic signals along Gay, Fayette and Lexington streets.
Anne Arundel County Police said on Tuesday that authorities will set up sobriety check points at 7 p.m. along Bestgate Road in Annapolis near Route 50. Howard County Police said authorities will be increasing patrols on St. Patrick's Day.
Both suburban counties as well as Baltimore City police are warning motorists to refrain from drinking and driving.
The Maryland Transit Administration reported at 9:03 a.m. that trains, buses and mobility vehicles were running on schedule.
