The Maryland Transit Administration on Thursday said that due to a winter storm that is expected to produce up to 10 inches of snow in the area, MARC train and commuter bus services have been canceled.
MTA said that the decision to cancel commuter bus service was also due to the weather-related closure of the federal government. MTA said a decision regarding Friday service will be made on Thursday evening.
MTA added around 9:30 a.m. that due to the inclement weather the metro subway will operate with minor service delays. Trains will leave Owings Mills and Johns Hopkins Hospital every 15 minutes, MTA said. MTA added that the light rail is operating on a modified schedule.
At 10:15 a.m., MTA reported minor delays on all operating transit vehicles.
The Maryland Transportation Authority reported fog warnings on the Bay Bridge at 10:15 a.m. Visibility is low, MdTA said.
