No Light Rail service due to ice

Light Rail service has been shut down Monday morning due to ice accumulation on overhead wires, Maryland Transit Administration officials said.

A shuttle bus service is taking passengers between Hunt Valley and Cromwell to BWI Airport Station. MTA officials said crews were working to restore service to the southern service area, including Cromwell Station and the BWI extension. Service is expected to be restored later Monday morning.

The MARC Penn and Camden Line are on a regular schedule but some local busses are delayed due to icy conditions.

Train 800 on the Brunswick Line will have a 45-minute delay from Brunswick Station because the federal government is operating with a two-hour delay, MTA officials said. Amtrak Train 151, which stops at Perryville, Aberdeen and Edgewood MARC stations, is operating 40 minutes late.
