Traffic: Utility problem on U.S. 1 in Perry Hall

A utility problem on U.S. 1 North in Perry Hall at Forge Road has closed the northbound right traffic lane and northbound right shoulder as of 7:31 a.m. on Friday, according to the state Department of Transportation.

All lanes are open on the outer loop of Interstate 695 in Catonsville with the clearing of a two-vehicle collision prior to the Baltimore National Pike, DOT said.

The Baltimore City Office of Emergency Management said that Pleasant Street between St. Paul and Calvert streets is closed due to a water main break. Officials reported the main break at 7:05 a.m. and said that traffic impact is light.

The Maryland Transportation Authority reported at 8:18 a.m. that wind warnings are in effect on the Bay Bridge. Due to sustained wind speeds or gusts of up to 39 mph, box trailers, house trailers, motorcycles or any vehicles subject to high winds should use caution crossing the bridge, MdTA said.

The Maryland Transit Administration reported major MARC train delays on Friday morning, citing mechanical problems and cancellations on the Penn Line.

Train 523 (8:10 a.m. Perryville departure has been canceled between Perryville and Baltimore), and Train 502 (6:15 a.m. departure from Washington) departed approximately one hour late, MTA said.

At 7:50 a.m., however, MTA said that the delays are subsiding.
