While the roads may seem clear now, state transportation officials are warning motorists not to let the current situation fool them.
Conditions are expected to worsen throughout the day and roads will become more hazardous as this happens.
The Maryland Transportation Authority tweeted early Monday that there is a potential for travel conditions to deteriorate throughout the day, before urging motorists to consider altering or canceling travel plans.
A ramp on southbound Interstate 395 in Baltimore, leading to Northbound 95, was closed for about ten minutes because of a crash, but reopened at about 7:30 a.m.
Baltimore Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport is seeing light snow and mist, but no significant delays. Airport officials noted flights from and into Philadelphia were experiencing weather-related delays.
Marc trains were experiencing 10 to 15 minute delays.
The cold weather also caused seven water main breaks in Baltimore, but no major lane closures, according to the Department of Public Works. The largest breaks were at North Point and Charlesmont Roads and the 1300 block of Middleboro Road, which was affecting water service to about 400 apartment units.
