MARC Penn Line travelers may see delays of up to 25 minutes during rush hour after delays in repairing a track in Baltimore, Maryland Transit Administration officials said.
The repairs, to one of the two tracks in the tunnel between West Baltimore and Penn Station, are expected to be complete on Tuesday. Damage to the track was more significant than initially thought, MdTA officials said.
Penn Line rush hour trains have 15 to 25 minute delays, particularly in the morning. Mid-day and late night trains may have 5 to 10 minute delays due to the single track operation.
Debris was reported in the roadway on the inner loop of the Baltimore Beltway at Interstate 795. There were no unscheduled road closures as of 7:20 a.m.
