A single vehicle crash on MD 173 North in Riviera Beach at Chestnut Cove Drive has closed the northbound right shoulder at 9 a.m., according to the state Department of Transportation.
The center turn lanes are bi-directional due to the incident, DOT said.
A collision on I-70 East in Sykesville, east of MD 32, has closed two eastbound traffic lanes and the eastbound right shoulder at 8:29 a.m., DOT said.
DOT reported an incident on MD 25 South in Cockeysville prior to Shawan Road at 7:40 a.m. No additional information was given.
The Maryland Transportation Authority said that amid an impending snowstorm on the day before Thanksgiving motorists should use caution on one of the busiest travel days of the year. MdTA said that during Wednesday's rainy commute drivers should allow for extra travel time and watch for both standing water and wet leaves.
The Maryland Transit Administration reported at 9:12 a.m. that trains, buses and mobility vehicles are running on schedule.
