The accident on the Baltimore Beltway near Dulaney Valley Road involving a tractor trailer that complicated the Wednesday rush hour has completely cleared as of about 9 a.m. Maryland Department of Transportation cameras showed traffic was flowing freely.
However, another accident on Interstate-95 south just prior to White Marsh Boulevard lingered past the rush hour and was still affecting one shoulder lane.
The bus fire on the inner loop of the Capital Beltway in the area of College Park has been extinguished, but traffic remained slow through that area around 9 a.m., and was still jammed on I-95 south in the Calverton area as commuters approach the Capital Beltway.
Maryland Transportation Authority officials are reminding commuters that Star-Spangled Spectacular events, slated to run at Fort McHenry through Sept.16, are expected to create delays at the Fort McHenry Tunnel and along the I-95/395 corridor.
The Maryland Transit Administration reported that light rail and MARC train were operating on time.
