Traffic: Southbound lane reopened on Belair Road in Baltimore County amid water main break shutdown

Baltimore County Police reported on Friday morning all but one lane on Belair Road is shut down in both directions between Wholesale Club Drive and Dunfield Road due to a 24-inch water main break.

Police reported lanes closed in both directions at 6:42 a.m. At 8:15 a.m., officials said that one southbound lane had been reopened.


The state Department of Transportation reported a two-vehicle collision on the Baltimore Washington Parkway North in Hanover at Arundel Mills Boulevard at 8:01 a.m. that closed the northbound right traffic lane.

DOT added that emergency roadwork on MD 175 West in Fort Meade, between Disney Road and Reece Road, has closed the westbound right traffic lane and westbound right shoulder at 5:17 a.m.


DOT said that traffic on MD 45 South in Cockeysville is closed between Padonia Road and Timonium Road due to emergency roadwork at 5:42 a.m. The center turn lanes are bi-directional, DOT said.

DOT also reported that emergency roadwork on MD 45 South in Baltimore County at Timonium Road has closed the southbound right traffic lane and southbound right shoulder since 9:43 p.m.

The Maryland Transportation Authority said that the Curtis Creek Drawbridge will open on Friday at 9 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The Maryland Transit Administration reported at 8:30 a.m. that trains, buses and mobility vehicles were running on schedule.
