As of 9 a.m. Thursday, traffic was slow on I-95 southbound at the Baltimore Beltway, due to an accident.
Accidents were slowing traffic at Route 97 northbound at the Baltimore Beltway in Anne Arundel County, Route 40 eastbound at St. John's Lane in Anne Arundel County, Route 97 southbound at Route 32 in Howard County, Charles Street at Greenwood Road in Baltimore County, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Saratoga Street in Baltimore City, and Edmondson Avenue and Swann Avenue in Baltimore City.
U.S. 1 is closed in both directions between Shuresville Road and Route 222 near the Conowingo Dam in Cecil County, due to an accident involving a tractor-trailer. Emergency workers have moved the vehicle off to the side of the road but the highway remains closed as crews work to clean up spilled fuel oil. The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to an area hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. No other drivers were injured.
There were no major delays reported on local transit systems.
