Two men shot in Baltimore city Sunday morning

Two men were shot in Baltimore early Sunday, police said.

A 23-year-old man was standing in the 1700 block of Lexington Street when he was shot by an unknown person, the victim told Baltimore police. About 2 a.m., the man checked into a downtown hospital with a gunshot wound to his chest and arm.

At 5:45 a.m., a 49-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg was found by officers inside his home in the 2800 block of Hilldale Avenue.

He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Both men are expected to survive, police spokesman Jeremy Silbert said. Detectives are investigating the incidents.
