Slain Maryland woman's car found in Mississippi

WALTHALL, Miss. (AP) — Authorities conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Mississippi have arrested a Maryland man found driving a slain Maryland woman's car. The Queen Anne County's Sheriff's Office says a white Chevrolet Impala failed to stop at a sobriety checkpoint in Webster County, Miss., on Friday night and crashed after a pursuit. When the Webster County Sheriff's Office arrested the driver, 28-year-old Leroy Wilson Jr., previously of Denton, Md., they found that Maryland authorities were looking for the Impala in connection with the slaying of Lindsey Crispino. Her body was found Wednesday at a Centreville, Md., farm. The sheriff's office said her body showed signs of trauma. Queen Anne's County Sheriff Gary Hofmann says Wilson is being held without bail and is awaiting extradition to Maryland to face charges in the slaying.
