Baltimore County fire officials say one person was found dead in a house fire Sunday morning in the Rosedale area.
Officials said county fire units were dispatched to the 1300 block of Seling Avenue for a house fire and reported there was possibly one person still inside.
A 12-year-old juvenile was awakened by the smoke detectors, went downstairs and saw fire in the rear of the house, fire officials said. The juvenile left the house and called 911.
Fire crews were able to put out the fire and discovered a 49-year-old occupant inside, deceased. The juvenile was not injured and no other injuries were reported at the scene.
Officials did not immediately identify the victim. The cause of death and the cause of the fire are being investigated by the county police fire investigation division.
The fire was considered to be under control as of 7:39 a.m.
