The ticket was purchased at the Dunkirk Fastop, located at 9880 Southern Maryland Boulevard, in Dunkirk, Calvert County, lottery officials said.

The ticket owner is among 4,051,006 players who won prizes totaling $66.9 million in the drawing.

There were also three first-tier winners in the Powerball drawing, who matched all the drawn numbers: 05, 25, 30, 58, 59 and Powerball 32. One ticket was purchased in Minnesota, two in New Jersey.

The $448 million jackpot was the third largest in the game's history, according to lottery officials. The largest remains the $656 million jackpot won in March 2012, and split between winners in Maryland, Kansas and Illinois.

The $1 million winning ticket in Dunkirk is the eighth "second-tier" Powerball ticket sold in Maryland this year, state lottery officials said.

The winner has not been identified.
