State and local transportation officials said that modifications will be in effect on local roads and rails during the Orioles regular season home opener on Friday afternoon.

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation said that those driving to the game should use parking facilities north of Oriole Park at Camden Yards rather than parking on adjacent neighborhood streets.

Neighborhood parking and permit parking restrictions will be strictly enforced, and parking control agents will enforce all posted regulations, officials said.

Parking regulations will in effect on Friday beginning at 10 a.m. on the following streets: the east side of Greene Street from Lombard Street to Washington Boulevard; the east side of Eutaw Street from Pratt to Lombard streets; Camden Street from Howard to Russell streets; and the north side of Conway Street from Charles to Sharp streets.

Officials said the following streets will be closed on Friday beginning at 1 p.m.: Eutaw Street from Camden to Pratt streets; Camden Street from Howard to Russell streets; Lee Street from Ramp D to Russell Street; Washington Boulevard from Paca to Greene streets; and Hamburg Street from Russell to Leadenhall streets.

Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed and towed, officials said.

The DOT added that roadwork has resumed along Interstate 95 South of the Fort McHenry Tunnel and split traffic patterns are prone to cause delays. Local transportation enforcement officers will assist Baltimore City Police with traffic flow downtown, officials said.

The Maryland Transportation Administration said that the light rail and Metro subway will operate at peak service all day Friday to ease rush hour congestion.

MTA said that 32 light rail stops lead to Camden Yards and the rail operates every 10 to 30 minutes. Two metro subway stops – Lexington Market and Charles Center Station – are within walking distance to the ballpark. And 20 bus lines stop at Camden Yards, MTA said.
