OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) — Ocean City Police say a motorcycle operator was killed when his vehicle crashed into a pickup truck on Coastal Highway.
The crash occurred just after noon on Thursday, said department spokeswoman Lindsay Richard. She said authorities saw the motorcycle operator commit traffic violations and tried to conduct a traffic stop. The motorcyclist sped off, and officers did not pursue him, police said.
The motorcycle crashed with a pickup truck moments later, Richard said. The motorcyclist, whom police did not identify, was pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup truck driver was not hurt.
