OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) — Ocean City police have identified the man whose body was found floating offshore at the resort.

The body found was that of 25-year-old Michael West of Temple Hills, the department said in a news release Thursday.

West's body was found Tuesday afternoon near 127th Street after a beachgoer reported it to lifeguards, Police said.

West was reported missing to Prince George's County Police and was last seen early Sunday around 127th Street, Officers said.

Autopsy results are pending, but foul play wasn't suspected, investigators said.
