Emergency track work by Amtrak will cause delays for MARC transit passengers in Baltimore this week, according to the Maryland Transit Administration.
The unscheduled work on tracks between the West Baltimore MARC station and Penn Station was announced Monday, and will last through Wednesday, requiring trains to single track through the area.
Rush hour trains could be delayed by up to 25 minutes, while midday trains could be delayed up to 10 minutes, the MTA said.
The MTA thanked riders for their patience as Amtrak completes the work, which it did not describe.
Amtrak did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
