One person was killed Monday in a crash on Interstate 83 in southern Pennsylvania that involved 50 vehicles, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. during a snow squall on I-83 in Shrewsbury, near Exit 10, just past the Maryland state line. Some 40 passenger cars and 10 commercial vehicles were involved, according to police.
The person who was killed has not yet been publicly identified. Others faced non-life threatening injuries. A hazmat spill also occurred during the crash.
