2 firefighters injured, 5 college students displaced in Hyattsville fire

Two firefighters were injured and five University of Maryland students were displaced after a house fire in Hyattsville early Friday, fire officials said.

The fire took place in the 6700 block of Baltimore Avenue around 2 a.m. and included a partial collapse of the home, Prince George's County fire officials said on Twitter. The firefighters' injuries are not life-threatening, officials said.

None of the residents were injured, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and damage was estimated at $175,000, according to the Prince George's County Fire Department.
