Two people were killed after they were hit by a Honda Civic late Saturday while fighting in the middle of a Howard County road, police said.
The victims were Chawn Lamar Bryant, 18, of Philadelphia, and Delcy Martinez Hernandez, 18, of Elkridge. Both died at the hospital. Bryant was identified Monday after a family member made contact with police.
They were both struck about 11:15 p.m. in Jessup. The 2002 Civic was traveling south on Washington Boulevard and hit them near Port Capital Drive, Howard County police said. Witnesses told police the two were fighting on the ground in the travel lanes.
The driver of the Civic, an Elkridge man, and a Catonsville woman riding in the car were not injured in the crash.
The road was closed for about three hours overnight.
