Pa. man killed, two hurt in Harford head-on crash

A Fawn Grove, Pa., man died early Sunday morning after two cars collided on Route 23 just east of Harford Creamery Road, south of Norrisville, state police said.

Donald Van Gosen, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene of the head-on crash, police said. Two people in the other car, a 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, were taken to York Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.

State police said they were investigating the accident, whose exact cause had not been determined. According to Trooper Q. Dobbins, one vehicle failed to keep right of the center line and traveled into the opposing lane, striking the other vehicle. It was not clear which vehicle did that, he said.

"Weather was not a factor, even though there was condensed fog," Dobbins said.
