Baltimore police say they are investigating two Friday night shootings — one of which left a man in critical condition.

The first incident was in the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue. Police said that officers responding to the scene at about 4:45 p.m., found a 20-year-old man shot in the head. Officials said the victim was unresponsive and taken to an area hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

About three hours later, police responded to the 4200 block of Frankford Avenue, where they found a man in his 30s suffering from a gunshot wound in his shoulder.

The man, who had driven himself to the Frankford Avenue location, was taken to the hospital and was alert and conscious, police said.
