WHEATON, Md. (AP) — The Metro system has closed two red line stations in Maryland after smoke was reported in a tunnel.
Metro closed the Glenmont and Wheaton stations before 7 a.m. Friday after smoke was spotted in the tunnel between the two stations.
Montgomery County fire department spokesman Pete Piringer tweets that firefighters are responding to several locations to investigate the reports. He says no source has been identified for the smoke.
