Officials say a 6-year-old boy has been rescued after he was found floating in a creek near the Wicomico County Tourist Information Center.
Maryland State Police say the unidentified child was part of a group visiting the center when the incident happened Monday afternoon.
Salisbury Fire Department spokesman Darrin Scott says the boy was rescued from the water before officials arrived at the scene.
The child was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.
The incident remains under investigation.
