A woman was accidentally shot by a security guard who was fighting with two men inside a College Park McDonald's early Sunday morning, Prince George's County police said.
The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries, said police spokeswoman Officer Nicole Hubbard. She said police were called around 3 a.m. to the restaurant in the 8500 block of Baltimore Avenue, where a security guard got into a physical altercation with two men inside the restaurant. He attempted to use pepper spray but then discharged his firearm when he struck the woman.
Hubbard said the suspects fled the restaurant. The incident remains under investigation.
