State transportation officials have identified the man who was fatally struck by a MARC train Friday as a 31-year-old Baltimore resident.
Edward Dennis Mickle Jr. was walking on the tracks about 6:20 p.m. Friday near the Halethorpe station when he was hit, according to the Maryland Transit Administration.
Baltimore County fire and EMS crews were called, and Mickle was pronounced dead at the scene, the agency said. MTA police are investigating.
