Two men were shot in Baltimore County Wednesday — one in Catonsville, the other in Essex, police said.
A man's ear was grazed by a bullet in the 500 block of Frederick Road near the intersection with Interstate 695 in Catonsville at about 6 p.m., police said.
The victim was involved in an argument with three suspects, and went to an alley behind the unit block of Briarwood Road to fight. One of the suspects flashed a handgun, robbed him and fled, police said.
The victim was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive.
Later, at about 9:30 p.m., a man was shot in the arm near an apartment complex in the 1600 block of Middleborough Rd. in Essex, police said. Police tape cordoned off a parking lot of a Royal Farms convenience store nearby as officers searched for a suspect.
The suspect had a handgun and began firing at the victim, striking him multiple times in the upper and mid-body, police said.
He was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive.
Police did not release any suspect information Thursday morning. The county's violent crimes unit is investigating both of them, and anyone with information may call 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
