Pedestrian, 55, fatally struck by vehicle near Rosedale shopping center

A 55-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by a pickup truck near a Rosedale shopping center Monday night, Baltimore County police say.

The victim, Gregory John Lewis, of Baltimore, was walking along westbound Pulaski Highway near the entrance of the Golden Ring shopping center shortly after 11 p.m. Monday when he was hit by a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado traveling west, according to police.

Lewis was taken to MedStar Franklin Square Hospital, where he died. The driver who hit Lewis remained at the scene, police said.

The police department's crash team is continuing to investigate.
