Hours after police warned residents of a Baltimore County street to shelter inside, officers said the person suspected of being armed there was taken in custody.
Shortly before 9:30 p.m., police announced the person was in custody. Officers had warned families living on Sipple Avenue near Overlea to stay inside while they investigated reports of a armed, suicidal person within a home.
Police were dispatched Monday about 6:15 p.m. to the unit block of the avenue. Officers said they were deploying "specialized" units to the scene.
Additional information was not immediately available.
