A man arrested for attempted theft was mistakenly released from custody, the state Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services said Monday.
Nathan Cockrell, who's charged with attempted theft of less than $100, was set free from the Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center about 7 a.m. Friday, officials said. City and state police were notified.
"He has not returned to the facility," a statement from authorities said.
