A Baltimore police officer was injured in a crash while responding to an earlier accident on the Jones Falls Expressway on Sunday, police said. The officer and the driver of the car had injuries that weren’t life-threatening, police said.
The car hit the back of the officer’s parked patrol car near the Cold Spring Lane exit about 11:30 a.m., while the officer was overseeing a car being towed from the earlier crash in the southbound lanes of Interstate 83, police spokesman Detective Jeremy Silbert said.
The expressway was cleared by about 1 p.m., police said. Police did not release any further information on either crash.
