An unattended vehicle outside Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport temporarily closed an access road and part of the terminal Sunday morning, officials said.
BWI reported the closure on Twitter around 9:30 a.m. Sunday. The Upper level roadway and part of the upper level terminal were temporarily shut down, according to the tweets.
About an hour later, the roadway and terminal re-opened after a "law enforcement and security investigation determined no threat," the airport's management posted on Twitter.
The closure was done out of precaution, according to airport officials.
"We thank our customers for their patience during [the] investigation," airport officials posted on Twitter.
No delays were reported.
