Bicyclist killed when struck by tree on C&O towpath

Authorities say thunderstorms that swept through the Washington region have led to a man's death.

National Park Service spokesman Bill Line says the man was bicycling on the C&O Canal towpath in Montgomery County when he was struck and killed by a falling tree Sunday night. The man was identified as 56-year-old Neil Reich of Forest Hills, N.Y.
