WTOP-FM reports Osborn has a fractured pelvic bone, along with several other injuries, according to her husband. She might have to remain hospitalized for several more weeks and will need extensive rehabilitation.

Osborn survived the attack by punching the bear, and when that didn't work, she played dead. The bear was later euthanized. It was the first recorded bear attack in Maryland in 81 years.
