Glen Burnie bank robbed

Authorities released this photograph taken from surveillance video of the suspect in the bank robbery in Glen Burnie.

Authorities are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Saturday morning in Glen Burnie.

At 10:20 a.m., officers from the Anne Arundel County Police Northern District responded to the Bank of America at 80 Mountain Road.

Several bank employees told investigators that a man entered the bank and handed the bank teller a folder with a note inside. The note demanded cash and indicated that the man had a weapon, although the man did not display a handgun.

The teller gave the man an undetermined amount of money. The robber left the scene on foot in the direction of Mountain Road. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his 50s to 60s, tall and thin, with a long gray and brown beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, a light and dark gray baseball style hat with a Chevrolet symbol on the front and dark sunglasses.

Investigators released a photograph of the robber from the bank's surveillance footage.
