Anne Arundel County Police are investigating two sexual assaults in which women accepted rides in Baltimore from men they didn't know and were driven to Brooklyn Park and Curtis Bay.
One woman was picked up Thursday afternoon in the area of 4th Street and Washburn Avenue in Baltimore and driven to the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Brooklyn Park, where she was sexually assaulted, police said. The suspect was described as a black male, 30 to 40 years old, about 5 foot 7, of stocky build and balding. He was wearing a light-colored, short sleeve polo style shirt with blue stripes, khaki shorts, and white and red Nike sneakers, police said. He also wore prescription glasses and drove a dark-colored SUV.
Another woman was picked up at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, in the area of Fairhaven Avenue and Elmtree Street in the Baltimore, and driven to Stahl Pointe Road and Ordinance Road in the Curtis Bay section of the county, where she was sexually assaulted, police said. The suspect was described as a white male in his late 30s, with very short blond hair and a beard. He drove an older model dark-colored pickup truck with a silver toolbox attached.
Police said the victims did not know the suspects, and voluntarily received rides from the suspects.
